Things I am thankful for today...
A BFF that would literally do anything for me without thinking twice. She picks my kid up from preschool, takes them home, loves them, feeds them all while my oldest had a 102 fever and could be infecting her whole household! Then the next day picked up my daughter so my husband wouldn't have to go the preschool while he was home with our sick son. Doesn't even think twice. She just does. She is the most amazing friend I could have ever asked for. I am so blessed that God has sent us down this path of life together--to cry, to laugh, to pull our hair out, to raise our children together, for our husbands to be great friends, and for her to be "Auntie Julie" (until recently she was still "auntie hulie" ) to my children. A second mom to my kids. Wow. It's amazing when God gives you that kind of gift.
A wonderful neighbor and friend that notices when my car is home on a day it shouldn't to call and check. She then listens to me vent my frustrations about sick son on day number 2 1/2 not eating and gently reminds me of the things I can't control. She's right. She's patient. She's calm. She is a friend!
A friend from high school who continues to amaze me with her wisdom. We have known each other for 22...can that be right Mere? 22 years? She and I both moved to Hockinson, Washington the same year. Life has taken us both down different paths, but she continues to be one of the very few people from high school that I keep in touch with. She is insightful, wise, and mature way beyond her years. She is inspiring. And most importantly, through her blog, she makes me feel NORMAL! Yes--normal!
Thankful for a day off...even if it is because Dylan still has a fever. Thankful to be in sweats all day, watching movie, after movie with the kiddos. Thankful for a husband that came back in the bedroom this morning to see if I just wanted one more hug. Thankful that he is able to stay home tomorrow until I get home to let Dylan have another day of rest.
Thankful for a few hours to blog, read blogs, and relax while both children nap!
Thankful for the stillness and quietness that allows me to be thankful!
Thankful to have so many reasons to be thankful!
May you find many reasons to be thankful today too!

Love you guys! We are so thankful for you too! Thanks for putting my frustrations in perspective. I love reading this even though I get to be a part of it every day. I am so blessed to have you as my bff.
